As a member you will receive full use of the club's facilities when is open and the right to participate in racing, open regattas and social events running throughout the year.
Boat and windsurfer owners are given a key (upon €20 deposit) to gain access in the race station where the water main tab is, the toilets and showers. Members are offered special rates from our associate non-profitable sailing centre to practice sailing after the completion of their basic training. Accommodation in the area is also arranged in special rates with associate hotels. Finally, for a member wishing to own a boat, the club helps to find one, suitable to each member’s requirements and skills..
BegaFigo has no paid staff; we all help to run our club. Members are expected to participate in the Roster, and do a race or volunteer-work duty at least twice a year. Race duties consist of Officer of the Day (OOD), Assistant (AOOD), safety boat helm and crew, on which the club provides the necessary training to cope with. Members are also expected to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM), to elect the committee and decide on weighty matters referring to the club’s present and future.
